SK Education Foundation Grants
South Kingstown Education Foundation was established in 2003 to support educational projects and activities that inspire student excellence and strengthen the relationship between the public schools and the community. Since it's inception, SKEF has raised over $100,000, thanks to the generous support of many area residents and businesses, and an initial matching grant from The Rhode Island Foundation.
SKEF recently awarded its grants for the 2008-2009 school year. These grant awards will be the Education Foundation's fifth year of awarding grants. There are more funds available each year due to our growing endowment earnings and the increasingly generous donations we receive from parents from the Teacher Recognition Appeal held each November/December.
To submit a grant funding proposal, please review our grant criteria and return your completed application package on the date indicated. Grant awards are announced in June of each year.
To build our endowment and raise funds for SKEF grant awards, SKEF conducts a number of fundraising events and appeals. Please consider supporting some of our campaigns:
