The social studies curriculum is designed to correlate with the National Council for Social Studies (NCSS).
7th grade: Students will study the history of the United States to 1877. 8th grade: Students will study from the post Civil War era to the present.
7th grade: First Quarter  Students will study the major events preceding the founding of our nation, relating their significance to the development of
American democracy, and the causes of the American Revolution.
8th Grade: First Quarter Students
will study the Western Frontier, the growth of industry toward an urban America and the Progressive reforms.Topics of analysis will include the changing way of life for various groups of people due to western settlement.
